This event will open the houses and studios of more than 200 artists showing and selling their work on the weekends of 1 - 2 and 8 - 9 October.
Now in its tenth year, Wandsworth Artists’ Open House embraces a variety of mediums such as; craft, design, sculpture, painting, jewellery, photography, drawing, film and installation. Many visitors buy their first piece of original artwork at an Open House and return again year after year.
Artists’ Open House is a great day out for the entire family, and allows them to discover what takes place behind the doors in their streets, as well as the chance to engage with the artists directly. The map of open houses, which is available online or in libraries allows visitors to build their own trail, stopping off for a coffee or bite to eat along the way.
Local activities will also take place throughout October including Rich White, Nest exhibition at Testbed 1 during eight days (7-14 October) when the artist will build a human-sized nest with the support and participation of the people attending. The Pump House Gallery in Battersea Park will host Juneau Projects exhibition, I Am The Warrior from the 22 October to the 11 December.
